FAQs Frequently Asked Questions
Pocket Pivot Review / Buyable Gap Ups
When a stock has the wild action NVTA is having today (11-8-18), should it be dropped from our BUY Watch List or should it be kept for a new PP or BGU signal (much later obviously)?
A: NVTA reported earnings so just because it gapped higher or had a pocket pivot does not mean it will sustain its gap or close above the prior day's close, especially in the case of medical and biotech stocks as I mentioned in the report. If a stock closes below the prior day's close, it usually invalidates the PP or BGU. It can still be watched for potential re-entries into the stock should the price/volume action in the ensuing days prove constructive in context with the general market.
