FAQs Frequently Asked Questions
Q: This market has made me lose my confidence. For every 2 step forwards, I make 3 or 4 back. I'm not sure what to do except trade less and small amounts. I presume there is no other way?
A: We hear you. Be quicker to take profits in this market environment. If a stock proves itself as a true leader, try to trade around a core position as it moves higher.
Know that markets tend to exhaust the many before finally launching into a period of profitability. In 2011, the first half was volatile and choppy. Some threw in the towel. Then there was a period of great profitability that started in August of that year. So part of the challenge is to have patience which is then rewarded with profits that can often well exceed any losses, provided sell stops were in place.
