If you have many high quality buyable stocks in a good market, which factors do you focus on most in deciding which stocks to buy? Earnings, projecting earnings, IBD ratings, group strength?
We focus on the stocks that act the best, hence judge them by their price/volume action first. Mechanically ranking stocks according to certain ratings is not necessarily helpful. This is something that comes with experience in understanding the dynamics driving group leadership in any market cycle with respect to where the institutional money must be looking to go.
