Dr K Market Direction Model
How many failed follow through days did we get in the 2010 'flash crash' May-Aug ?
The Market Direction Model (MDM) does not use the standard O'Neil/CANSLIM/Big Picture method of automatically switching to a buy signal on a follow through day. Suffice it to say that MDM generated fewer false signals. For example, during last year's flash crash, the model generated a total of ONE false signal from May-Oct while Big Picture got tangled up in the noise and volatility that ensued post May's flash crash.
